So kat sini aku ade listkan 15 kedai makanan Halal selain dari di Itaewon sebab memang ramai tahu kedai makanan Halal paling banyak ialah kat Itaewon. Lepas ni xde la ko nak kena pergi ke Itaewon je kalau nak cari makanan halal. Tapi actually, list kat bawah ni bukan aku yang buat. Aku dapat dari kawan aku. So aku tak sure sapa punya. As lately I discovered that most Indian restaurants in Seoul use halal meat in their food I decided to call this restaurant and asked. The "sajang-nim" (manager) of the restaurant confirmed that they use halal meat for their dishes. If you are around the area this restaurant can be worth a try. When a restaurant becomes popular for a particular dish, other restaurants open in the surrounding area serving the same dish. Featured here is an alley specializing in spicy stir-fried baby octopus (jjukkumi bokkeum). Baby octopuses that has been marinated in spicy chilli paste will be brought to customers' tables to be cooked. This dish is apparently very spicy, so only those who dare should try :) Some restaurants in this alley have the option of serving the dish with samgyeopsal (pork's belly meat), but the restaurant shown below (Mokpojib Na Jeong-sun Halmae Jjukkumi / 나정순할매쭈꾸미) only serves jjukkumi bokkeum. So for Muslim travellers, do go to this one!

This is the other famous food street in Namdaemun and the famous dish here is kalguksu or knife cut noodles. The broth for kalguksu is usually only made with anchovies, kelp and shellfish but you should ask in case other meats are used in it. Located in a small alley very near to Exit 5 of Hoehyeon Station, the alley is filled with many stalls serving the same kalguksu menu and barley rice bibimbap (boribap). These dishes also come with a free serving of bibim naengmyeon. The price for kalguksu is only around 4,500 KRW so not only they are filling, but cheap too :)
